The “getting to know you” part of Jeopardy annoys me. It’s always so frickin’ forced. And lame.

Alex: Why hello Ted. I understand you once slipped on the ice?
Ted: Heh heh heh, yes, that’s right. I was walking down the driveway to get the mail, and didn’t see a patch of ice. Wouldn’t you know it!? I slipped!
Alex: Heh heh heh, well hopefully you won’t slip up in the double jeopardy round!
Ted : Good one, Alex!
Alex & Ted: [laughs]
